Donald Trump Thinks Soda Kills Cancer; Fanta Is Fresh Squeezed
Last week's episode of Triggered with Don Jr., the president's eldest son welcomed Dr. Mehmet Oz as his featured guest, and the topic of Donald Trump and his unique soda-related beliefs came up. "Your dad argues that diet soda is good for him because it kills grass—if poured on grass—so, therefore, it must kill cancer cells inside the body," Oz explained.
"You know, we were on Air Force One the other day, and I walk in there because he wants to talk about something, and he's got an orange soft drink on his desk," Oz continued. "He's got a Fanta on the desk. And I say, 'Are you kidding me?' So he starts to, like, sheepishly grin. He says, 'You know this stuff's good for me, it kills cancer cells.'"
He also added that the president joked the Fanta couldn't be bad for him because it's "fresh squeezed."

Social Media Reactions
Across social media platforms, while many users appreciated that Trump was joking about the orange beverage being "freshly squeezed," it seems he truly believes that diet soda has cancer-curing qualities. "This guy controls the nuclear codes btw," one user pointed out on Instagram.
"And this is the man leading the nation. He said worse things like the bleach era," another person wrote, referring to the time Trump suggested drinking bleach to ward off COVID-19. "How did he get chosen twice?"
"Ladies and gentleman... the leader of the free world," said another.
"It killed off his two brain cells as well," joked another, and the next said, "Grass and cancer cells are not the same thing!"
"This is the man who's running the country," a final user wrote.
