Angelina Jolie made a surprising appearance in Doha, Qatar, this month to attend the inaugural Art Basel Qatar. She was seen exploring the exhibition, which centers on the theme “Becoming.”

For the event, the Maria actress honored the country’s modest culture by wearing a long pleated beige maxi dress with white feathered trim on the sleeves and hem. She styled her bleached blonde hair down, opted for minimal makeup, and carried a small tote bag.

Her visit included touring the art fair and supporting artists, with appearances documented on social media during the first week of February 2026. She was photographed visiting several booths throughout the exhibition.

Fans took to Instagram to rave about her simple yet elegant look.

“She’s literally God’s most perfect creation,” said one user. Another wrote, “She’s simply unique.” Someone else added, “I love the Sahara shades.”

The mother of six has been busy traveling to promote her new movie, Couture, and she recently got candid about her mastectomy scars. She spoke about her double mastectomy scars in an interview with France Inter on Tuesday, describing them as “a choice” she is “grateful” to have made.

“I’ve always been someone more interested in the scars and the life that people carry,” Jolie said. “I’m not drawn to a perfect idea of a life that has no scars.”

“My scars are a choice I made to stay here as long as I could with my children. I love my scars because of that. And I’m grateful that I had the opportunity and the choice to do something proactive about my health.”

She added, “So for me, I think this is life, and if you get to the end of your life and you haven’t made mistakes and you haven’t made a mess, you don’t have scars, and you haven’t lived a full enough life.”

In December 2025, Jolie appeared on the inaugural cover of TIME France, where she openly revealed the scars from her 2013 preventive double mastectomy.

She explained that her goal was to raise global awareness about breast cancer screening and to show solidarity with women who have undergone similar procedures.

“I share these scars with many women I love,” Jolie told TIME France. “And I’m always moved when I see others share theirs.”

The feature also highlighted the so-called “Angelina Effect,” a term coined after Jolie’s original disclosure, which reportedly led to a 20 percent increase in breast cancer screenings in France and significantly boosted awareness of genetic testing worldwide.
