Heidi Klum is facing another round of fashion criticism, and this time, her stylist, Law Roach, is also catching heat for the look.

Styled by Roach, who is best known for his long-standing work with Zendaya and his ability to deliver show-stopping red-carpet looks, Klum attended the 3rd Annual InStyle Imagemaker Awards in Los Angeles on October 16 wearing an ivory lace gown by London-based label Dreaming Eli.

The off-the-shoulder dress featured a distressed corset design with exposed boning, sheer floral lace, and deliberately tattered details. Long ivory satin strings hung from the gown, while dark brown stains across the fabric gave it a muddy, weathered appearance.

Heidi Klum's Off-The-Shoulder Dress Called 'Unflattering'

The supermodel kept the rest of her look relatively simple, pairing the gown with nude heels and a diamond tennis necklace. She wore her blonde hair down in a center part and completed the look with smoky eye makeup.

The dramatic design comes from Dreaming Eli’s Spring 2027 “Dirtied Dream” collection, which the brand describes as capturing “a dream dragged through dust, pavement, sweat, weather, time … Lived-in beauty. Ruined but magnificent.”

Roach also posed alongside the mom of four on the red carpet, wearing a black coat with a floral print.

However, the gown quickly became a topic of debate online, with some fans questioning the fit and structure of the dress. Others joked that Klum, who is famous for her elaborate Halloween costumes, appeared to be getting an early start on spooky season.

“Heidi's dress.... that's a hard no!! I dunno I feel like he never gets it right with curvier women... that's just my opinion!! For zendaya he's on point every single time.... others meh,” one commenter wrote.

“I … don’t like the dress,” another added. “The top is so unflattering on Heidi… I hate when a what could be an amazing look is ruined by fit issues/structure. Love Law but only for Zendaya personally,” someone else commented.

Fans React

Others poked fun at the gown's distressed appearance, with one person writing, “She started Halloween costumes early this year.”

“Heidi had better dresses - he cannot do dresses for curvier women. Heidi just for today you are out in my opinion,” another critic claimed.

“‘That dress was styled by Law??” one person asked, while another bluntly declared, “Heidi needs a new stylist.”

Others took issue specifically with the bodice. “Love the dress just not the way the top of it is fitting Heidi,” one commenter wrote.

“Oh, is this her Halloween outfit for 2026,” another joked.

Klum wasn't the only celebrity styled by Roach to face criticism at the event.

Priyanka Chopra, who attended as a “Woman of Impact” honoree, also sparked debate over her red-carpet look.

Chopra wore a pink Spring/Summer 2027 design by Matières Fécales selected by Roach. The unconventional ensemble went viral, with some fans comparing the look to a tablecloth and criticizing the outfit's overall appearance.

With both Klum and Chopra facing online scrutiny over their fashion choices, Roach's styling decisions became part of the conversation surrounding the star-studded event.
