Donald Trump was just photographed aboard Air Force One with a poster that appears to read, “Kennedy Center DEMOLISHED” just hours before his administration told a judge the center needed to be closed due to “structural deterioration.” While no plans of demolishing the Kennedy Center have been announced, Trump has been recently fixated on the institution after a judge ruled it unconstitutional for him to add his name to the building. Trump Seen With 'Kennedy Center Demolished' Poster

Earlier this year, Trump took control of the Kennedy Center board by replacing a number of trustees with Trump allies. The board then voted to put Trump's name on the Kennedy Center, but shortly afterwards, a federal judge ruled that the board could not rename the building without Congress's approval, which, according to Representative Joyce Beatty and former member of the Kennedy Center board, Trump reacted to with a "crazy tantrum."

The Kennedy Center board then voted to close the building for renovations, citing "structural deterioration" that posed "untenable risks" to safety. New photographs have now emerged featuring Donald Trump reviewing a poster that appears to read, "Kennedy Center DEMOLISHED," taken just hours before his administration announced the temporary closure of the institution.

Social Media Reactions

Across social media platforms, users were horrified by the new levels of pettiness Trump has stooped to, calling his reaction a "man baby tantrum."

"So he can just tear down buildings he doesn't like?!" one person wrote on Instagram.

"It's giving, 'If I can't have it, no one can,'" said another. "He's reaching new levels of pettiness."

"The real sad thing is no one wants to stop this grown toddler when he has his fits," said another. "The Kennedy Center is in honor of one of our great presidents and he is mad that no one will remember him as one."

"Is this all because he can't put his name on the building?" asked another. "Jesus f***ing Christ."

"What a new low," added the next. "Actively trying to destroy a landmark that honored a great President. Trying to destroy one man’s legacy to build your own twisted one is rather disgusting."

"All of this is so needless and destructive," a final user wrote. "We won’t be able to recover the longer this goes on."
