Kelly Osbourne Says She Doesn't 'Agree' With Sharon Osbourne's Political Views
It's no secret that the Osbourne family has been through a lot over the last year, primarily due to the passing of the dad, husband, and rock legend, Ozzy Osbourne.
Since he passed away at 76 last summer, numerous members of the famous family have come forward to state how they've been sticking together and supporting one another through the difficult time. Sharon, the rockstar's loyal widow, and Kelly, his youngest daughter, are known for being especially close. However, during a recent interview with Attitude Magazine, Kelly revealed that there's one part of their relationship that she struggles with - their difference in political views.
Kelly described their difference in political beliefs as "hard," and said that the former View host has "far-right" views.
"I don't agree," Kelly told the publication. "I don't agree with my mum, no. That's one thing that I can say that I don't agree with her on."
Kelly Says It's Been 'Hard' To Talk About Politics With Her Mom
The famous redhead, who is 73 years old, has expressed conservative-leaning views on several occasions, particularly around free speech, "cancel culture" and LGBTQ+ issues. In 2021, she strongly defended her friend Piers Morgan after he faced backlash for his comments about Meghan Markle. More recently, she faced criticism for her association with British far-right activist Tommy Robinson and for views concerning transgender women in sports.
As another example of Sharon's right-leaning political views became highly publicized, the mom-of-one revealed that they've been difficult for her to grasp. Regarding the specific situation with Robinson, she said it was "sad" to see her mom supporting him, and that she believes some of the things her mom's been standing for are "definitely" due to a "lack of education."
"It's hard because I love my mum," she added. "It's really hard when it comes to politics and things like that, but that's not for me."
