Gisele Bündchen is basking in the glow of her new marriage and newest addition to her family, and hinting that she’s in a better place following her split from Tom Brady.
The supermodel recently opened up in a new in-depth interview where she spoke about all of her exciting life updates, including how she and her new husband, Joaquim Valente, are doing with their new baby. Getting vulnerable, she described her baby’s personality and how happy she is, which created a stark difference from a recent insider report that claimed she felt as though she was living in her ex-husband Tom Brady’s shadow for years. Gisele Bündchen Calls Her Baby Boy A 'Gift' In New Interview
The Victoria's Secret icon is back in the spotlight and opening up about the current chapter of her life, including how things are going with her new baby and new husband.
Gisele and jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente first met in 2021, when she began taking classes at his Miami martial arts academy with her children. The two initially developed a friendship, with him reportedly becoming a source of support for Gisele as she went through her divorce from NFL star Tom Brady, which was finalized in October 2022. Their friendship reportedly turned romantic in 2023, and they welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, in 2025. She also shares two older children, Benjamin and Vivian, with the football player.
Over the last year, she's subtly hinted at how things are going with her family on social media, but now she's gotten much more open about it in her new cover interview with i-D magazine.
"He's so funny," she shared about her baby boy, describing a recent visit to the park with him. "He's 16 months, and he saw that I was cleaning the park… and he wanted to participate, and he felt really good about it."
Later in the interview, she called her youngest son "a gift," stating, "Having a baby at this moment of my life is such a gift, because I'm in a different place. I don't have anything to prove… I'm not defined by other people's opinions. I feel like I get to choose how I want to live my life."

Insider Claimed Gisele Was Previously Living In Tom Brady's 'Shadow'
The statements in her new magazine interview were quite refreshing, especially since there have been more reports coming out about how unhappy she was towards the end of her and the retired Patriots player's 13-year marriage.
The couple began dating in 2006 and went on to welcome two children together, Benjamin and Vivian, while Gisele also became a stepmother to Tom's son Jack from his previous relationship. After more than a decade of marriage, the couple faced growing speculation about their relationship, particularly surrounding Tom's decision to return to the NFL after initially announcing his retirement in 2022. They finalized their divorce in October of that year, with the model saying they had "grown apart" and both emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting their children.
Last year, an inside source told Page Six that Gisele was feeling "freer" since leaving the athlete and entering a relationship with Joaquim.
"[She] felt like she lived in Tom [Brady's] shadow for a long time," the source added. "[She's] absolutely loving this new chapter."
