Usha Vance recently caught fans’ attention when she posted a picture of her and Vice President JD Vance in front of her chicken coop, wearing an outfit that’s much more modest than her typical wardrobe.
The second lady took to Instagram last month to give fans of hers and the vice president a glimpse into their personal lives and what they like doing when not making formal appearances for work. In an intimate photo of the couple tending to the chicken coop they had installed on the grounds of their official home, Number One Observatory Circle, Usha can be seen stripped down from her usual second lady glam, sporting a pair of blue denim overalls that fans felt she looked great in. Usha Vance Poses In Denim Overalls In New Chicken Coop Photo With JD Vance
Because they tend to dress rather formally and professionally on the job, whenever American politicians share photos of themselves in more casual, humble clothing, it tends to stir up some online comments.
Last month, in honor of Vice President JD Vance's birthday, his wife, Usha, shared a photo of the two of them standing at their chicken coop and holding a baby chick on Instagram. The couple had a custom Victorian-style chicken coop installed at the vice president's residence at the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C., this June. Built by North Carolina-based Carolina Coops, the coop reportedly cost around $120,000 and was inspired by the home's architecture. Additionally, they've boasted that the coop was a donation from them rather than something paid for by American taxpayers.
In the photo she shared, Usha can be seen sporting a short-sleeved, white T-shirt, which she wore under a pair of classic, blue denim overalls. She also had on a pair of neon pink sunglasses as she looked down at the baby chick, held by the Hillbilly Elegy author, who was wearing a blue short-sleeved tee.
