Lara Trump is facing criticism online after promoting her activewear brand in a new social media post, with some commenters accusing her of trying to profit from the Trump family’s political prominence.

The wife of Eric Trump recently promoted the latest offerings from her Lara Trump Collection, posing on a farm while wearing a fitted black sports bra and matching high-waisted leggings. She added a country-inspired touch to the workout ensemble with knee-high cowboy boots and a trucker cap featuring the words “Built for Greatness.”

Lara wore her hair straight and down and completed the look with her signature full-glam “MAGA” makeup.

Lara Trump Slammed As A 'Grifter' Over Activewear Promo

According to the brand’s Instagram post, the outfit featured the Signature Set paired with the Built for Greatness Trucker.

The company describes the Lara Trump Collection as American-Made, saying its apparel is designed and manufactured in the United States.

The collection includes workout apparel and accessories, with items currently listed for sale on the brand’s website. The Built for Greatness trucker hat, for example, is marketed around the slogan “Built for Greatness” and is currently listed at $50.

The mom of two has frequently showcased her fitness-focused lifestyle, making an activewear line a natural extension of her public image. However, her latest promotional post also attracted political criticism, with some social media users connecting the business to broader accusations that members of the Trump family have used their political prominence to advance private business interests.

One commenter wrote on Instagram, “Just beyond childish narcissism.”

“Give me a [expletive] break grifter,” another person said.

A third commenter wrote, “More GRIFT - Queen of the GRIFTERS - bet all her stuff is Made in China (more profits, huh?) brutal. Hold them all accountable and investigate them all.”

Others responded with GIFs and comments describing the post as a “grifter alert.”

Trump Family Members Accused Of 'Grifting'

The broader criticism comes amid ongoing scrutiny of business activity involving members of President Donald Trump’s family.

CREW, a government-ethics watchdog, reported in April that the Trump Store had launched at least 622 products during the first 14 months of Trump’s second term and described the merchandise as a way of monetizing the presidency.

Separately, news organizations and watchdog groups have reported on business ventures involving other members of the Trump family, including Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Jared Kushner, and the resulting concerns about potential conflicts of interest.

PBS, for example, reported in April that the family’s expanding business ventures had prompted renewed concerns about influence and conflicts of interest.

Lara's activewear company, however, is a separate private business, and the online comments about her latest promotion reflect the opinions of individual social media users rather than a finding that she is improperly profiting from the presidency.

Other members of the Trump family have also faced backlash over their business ventures and public profiles.

Barron Trump drew scrutiny after becoming involved with the beverage company Sollos, while the president's granddaughter Kai Trump has faced criticism over her social media content and business ventures.

Melania Trump has likewise faced accusations of “grifting” over commercial projects, including her Amazon documentary and high-priced merchandise such as a $600 “Vote Freedom” necklace.
