King Charles could reportedly reunite with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, when they travel to the U.K. next month – their first visit to Britain as a family of four since the late Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.
But while the long-awaited reunion would reportedly delight the monarch, royal experts believe it could further strain his relationship with his heir, Prince William, who remains estranged from his younger brother and is reportedly far less willing to “extend an olive branch” than his father.

Royal Expert Says King Charles' Reunion With Prince Harry 'Could Upset' Prince William
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's upcoming trip has sparked widespread speculation over whether the King will finally see Archie and Lilibet for the first time in four years, after reports claimed he felt "sadness and regret" over the estrangement.
However, any meeting could prove difficult, as William is still said to be deeply hurt by Harry's repeated criticisms of the royal family in his bombshell memoir Spare and infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey, leaving the King caught between his two sons.
According to royal expert Emily Nash, King Charles is all too aware that a reunion with Prince Harry will likely upset Prince William. William has often been portrayed as taking a much firmer stance than his father when it comes to forgiveness, with reports frequently claiming he loves to hold a grudge.
Writing for Hello!, Nash said: "A reunion with Prince Harry and his children, four years after they last came back to the U.K. together as a family, could upset Prince William."

King Charles Faces A Difficult Choice Between Prince Harry And Prince William
Nash went on to explain that the potential meeting leaves King Charles in an impossible position...
She wrote: "Sources tell me that the schedule will be busy and that any reunion with his father would depend on their already packed diaries matching up. If Charles doesn't see his son – and the grandchildren he has not seen in person for four years – what message does that send? And if he does, what does that mean for his relationship with his heir, Prince William?"
"The royal brothers remain on non-speaking terms in the wake of claims made by Harry in numerous interviews, as well as in his memoir Spare," she continued. "For Charles, either decision will carry a cost and, inevitably, bring a host of headlines."
