After Hillary Clinton went viral for her dramatic, Darth Vader-like outfit at the Obama Presidential Center opening, the former Secretary of State appeared to take a more understated approach during a recent guest appearance on the Pivot podcast with Kara Swisher.
For the episode, Hillary wore a blue-purple jacquard collared blazer that gave her a polished and sophisticated look. She accessorized with a necklace featuring the name of one of her grandchildren, Charlotte, and styled her signature wavy bob with a side part.
Hillary and former President Bill Clinton have three grandchildren through their daughter, Chelsea Clinton, and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky: Charlotte, born in 2014; Aidan, born in 2016; and Jasper, born in 2019.

The 78-year-old's latest look comes after she became the subject of widespread online commentary in June when she attended the opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.
For the occasion, she wore a navy trench-style coat over black trousers and black boots, along with a blue-and-yellow scarf tied around her neck. She later added a wide-brimmed black hat and oversized sunglasses, creating a dramatic ensemble that quickly went viral.
Social media users compared the lawyer's look to everything from fictional characters to everyday objects.
“She forgot her broom!!!” one person joked on Instagram.
Another wrote, “Gorton’s fish sticks guy, but Darth Vader version.”
Others compared her to “Paddington Bear” and joked that she looked ready for a “Darth Vader costume party!”
Another person quipped, “Getting ready for a remake of The Wizard of Oz maybe?”
Fashion aside, Clinton also used her Pivot appearance to criticize President Donald Trump’s changes to the White House.

“It’s sad to me—it’s sad that it’s so tackied up, and it’s a reflection of, you know, his narcissistic personality and his need to feel important, including sticking gold embellishments all over the walls of the Oval Office,” Clinton told Swisher. “This is a man who, his mind apparently goes to, ‘Where can I add more gold?’ instead of, ‘How do I get out of Iran without looking like the loser that I am?’” she added.
Clinton also addressed Trump’s controversial plans for a ballroom at the White House, saying the next president will face a difficult decision about what to do with the unfinished project.
“The next president is going to have a big decision. What do you do with a half-finished ballroom?” Clinton said, referring to the project as a “carbuncle on the side of the White House.”
When Swisher asked what she would do with it, Clinton simply replied, “I don’t know.”
