Kim Kardashian officially has a teenager on her hands.
This week, the Skims mogul took to Instagram to celebrate daughter North West’s 13th birthday, sharing a collection of photos honoring her eldest child on the milestone occasion.
The carousel included several recent snapshots of North showing off her signature blue hair and tooth gems, along with a sweet throwback photo from when she was a baby. One image that especially caught fans’ attention was a glamorous selfie featuring the mother-daughter duo posing together.

In the photo, Kim and North sported full glam makeup, glossy lips, and matching pouty expressions as they looked into the camera. The resemblance between the two was impossible for many fans to ignore.
Over on Reddit, commenters quickly pointed out how much North is beginning to look like her famous mom did as a teenager.
“The older she gets, the more I see her mom!” one person wrote.
Another agreed, commenting, “All I see in her is teenage Kim.” “Her twin,” a third fan added.
The mom of four paired the birthday tribute with a heartfelt message dedicated to her daughter.
“Happy Birthday my Northiiiiiieeeeeeeee (Uzi voice!!!) I can’t believe you are officially a teenager!!!!! There’s no one like you, my baby girl!” she wrote. “I love being your mom and watching you grow. I love you to the alien galaxies you would speak of as a kid and beyond.”
Kardashian and her ex-husband, Kanye West, are parents to four children.
Their eldest, North, was born in June 15, 2013. The former couple welcomed their second child, son Saint West, in December 2015.
They later expanded their family through surrogacy, welcoming daughter Chicago West in January 2018 and son Psalm West in May 2019. Today, Chicago is 8 years old and Psalm is 7.
Kim Kardashian Says North Is 'Really Mature'
As North continues to pursue her growing music career—having already released her first EP and reportedly setting her sights on touring—Kim Kardashian says her daughter has developed a surprisingly thick skin when it comes to public criticism.
Speaking about North's confidence, Kim revealed on Call Her Daddy podcast that the 13-year-old doesn't let negative comments affect her.
"She's really mature in one sense, where she'll be like, 'Mom, I saw this, and I don't really care that they don't like... my blue hair or this or that. She's really confident and is like, 'I probably wouldn't be hanging out with those people.'"
At the same time, the reality TV star admits that raising a child in the spotlight comes with a learning curve. She previously asked for a "little bit of grace" from the public, explaining that parenting often involves figuring things out in real time.
"I’m like, okay, we’re never wearing that again. Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world," Kim said, adding, "As a mom, you're kind of like learning at the same time."
Beyond music, North has also developed a reputation for her fashion-forward style. According to Kim, her daughter has a natural eye for trends and is constantly introducing her to new brands.
"She has a really unique style. She puts me on to so many brands, like she just loves what she loves. And it’s just really fun to see someone be so creative. And also know herself so much," the 45-year-old told Complex in September.
