Kate Middleton Wears A Light Blue Outfit For The Trooping The Colour Festivities

This weekend was one of the notable royal family events that many fans and enthusiasts look forward to each year. On June 13th, British officials stepped out for the Trooping the Colour ceremonies, official and formal festivities put on by soldiers, guards, and more, to celebrate the birthday of King Charles.

Though the king's birthday is in November, the practice has long been carried out during the summer, as inclement weather wouldn't allow for such a grand spectacle. Most members of the royal family were in attendance, including the future king and queen, Prince William and Princess Catherine, and their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.

For the special occasion, the 44-year-old stepped out in a summertime-appropriate pale blue outfit, consisting of a long coat dress with a white lining underneath and other small white details. The dress was paired with some classy, white high heels and a matching blue and white sunhat.

Kate Middleton Responds To Protestors At The Royal Event

With many events involving the royal family and monarchy that take place in public, the Trooping the Colour this year had its fair share of protestors who began booing as some of the royals passed by crowds of onlookers in horse-drawn carriages.

The monarchs have gained experience with protesters who are against them over the years, and this time, fans and media outlets observed how the future queen reacted to the rowdy bunch during this year's festivities. As seen in a viral video shared by The Sun, as the mom-of-three and her children passed by the group of protesters, she made a serious face as she passed them, but kept her composure, not saying or signaling anything, and eventually continued waving to others in the crowd. Following their mother's example, her children did the same thing.

We'll be curious to see how Kate decides to handle protesting in the future, especially as she gets closer to taking over the throne alongside her husband. But after this year's incident, it's easy to picture that she'll continue to keep her cool and not let it faze her or disrupt her children.
