Sliced apples, grapes, mangos, pineapples and cantaloupe are all being pulled, according to a notice from the Food and Drug Administration.

The recall comes just weeks after a separate recall of watermelon chunks from stores on October 1st. What is going on with the fruit?!

The FDA says the recall is a precautionary measure that was initiated after a recent inspection that revealed listeria monocytogenes on equipment used "near where these products are packed."

The affected products were distributed to Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisianna, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas and have a “best if used by” date between October 3rd and October 11th.

The FDA revealed that Walmart is immediately removing the products from store shelves and inventories, and that if you already purchased affected product you should discard it immediately.

Luckily, there haven't been any cases reported and the distributor, "Country Fresh is working in close coordination with FDA in its continuing investigation to resolve the matter promptly and deeply regrets the inconvenience to our consumers and customers."

But the recall is not to be taken lightly. The FDA warns that consuming listeria can "cause serious and even fatal infections in children, elderly people, and anyone with weakened immune systems." Healthy people may experience symptoms like high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.

Additionally, listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.
