Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing after disappearing from her home in Tucson, Arizona, in what authorities believe may have been an abduction in the early hours of February 1st.
The Today host, 54, has not returned to the show since her mother’s disappearance and has continued to share emotional messages on social media asking the public for any information that could help bring her mother home. And as expected, there has been intense media coverage and online speculation about the disappearance…

What Were The Allegations Involving Savannah Guthrie's Own Family?
Speculation has circulated online and on TV over the past month and a half, with allegations that someone close to the Guthrie family could be involved in Nancy's disappearance. In particular, Savannah's brother-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, who is married to her sister Annie Guthrie.
The allegations first surfaced after it was revealed that Tommaso and Annie were reportedly among the last people to see Nancy before she disappeared, after dropping her off at her home following a family dinner the night before.
However, law enforcement officials have since stressed that no family members are suspects in the case, and at the time of writing, investigators say they have not identified any persons of interest.

Megyn Kelly Claims Savannah Guthrie Is 'Livid' Over The Allegations
According to Page Six, the speculation gained traction after journalist Ashleigh Banfield claimed on air that a law-enforcement source suggested Cioni could potentially be a suspect. Banfield cited a single source during the broadcast and later stood by her reporting, even after Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos reiterated that investigators had not identified any suspects or persons of interest.
According to controversial conservative commentator Megyn Kelly, Guthrie is furious about the allegations, with some reports even suggesting she may be considering legal action against Banfield.

"I have not been able to confirm that the Guthrie family wants to sue Ashleigh Banfield, but I have confirmed that Savannah is livid about that report and definitely does not suspect her or her brother-in-law," Kelly said during an episode of The Megyn Kelly Show last week.
"Can you blame her?" Kelly asked, adding: "I mean, of course, she loves her sister, I'm sure she loves her brother-in-law, and I'm sure she genuinely doesn't believe they had anything to do with it."
