Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos are getting an early start on summer, recently spotted vacationing in the Galápagos Islands, the famed volcanic chain off Ecuador’s coast.
According to reports, the couple is staying aboard Bezos’ $500M superyacht—complete with a helipad—and its $100M support vessel, Abeona. As they arrived on the islands, Sánchez leaned into warm-weather style with a patterned, tie-dye, strapless mini dress, paired with flats and a white handbag. She accessorized with a turquoise tennis necklace, pearl earrings, and sunglasses. See her look here!

The Amazon billionaire kept things coordinated in a beige patterned collared shirt with matching pants and black flats.
In additional photos, the pair were seen stepping off the yacht to explore the islands on foot alongside a small group. While the trip includes plenty of leisure, it’s also reportedly tied to ongoing conservation efforts in the region, which is globally recognized for its extraordinary biodiversity.
The former journalist recently made headlines after opening up about the possibility of expanding her family with her husband. In an interview with The New York Times published on April 11, she didn’t hold back, saying, “I would have another one tomorrow. Tomorrow,” when asked about having a baby. When pressed further, she reportedly doubled down with a coy smile.
Sánchez is already a mom of three and a stepmom to Bezos’ four children, creating what they’ve described as a modern-day “Brady Bunch.” Her eldest son, Nikko, is from her previous relationship with former NFL star Tony Gonzalez. She also shares two children—Evan and Ella—with her ex-husband, Patrick Whitesell. Bezos, for his part, shares four children with his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott.

Family played a major role in the couple’s 2025 wedding in Venice, where all three of Sánchez’s biological children were part of the ceremony—her sons walked her down the aisle, while her daughter Ella served as maid of honor.
Their getaway to the Galápagos Islands is expected to be brief, as Lauren and Jeff are set to return in time for their appearances at this year’s Met Gala.
Bezos and Sánchez are the lead sponsors for the 2026 Met Gala and its associated Costume Institute exhibition, “Costume Art.” The couple will also serve as honorary chairs for the event, marking a significant role in the prestigious fashion fundraiser. As lead sponsors, they are providing substantial financial backing for the 2026 exhibition and gala.
They are expected to hold a prominent position at the event, likely welcoming guests at the top of the Met steps.
