Kate Middleton Was Reportedly The First Royal To Ice Out Andrew
According to Page Six, Kate! The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen author Christopher Andersen revealed that the Princess of Wales was the first royal to ice out the former Duke of York by refusing to speak to him at private family gatherings, public events, and more.
"She is the first royal to cut him off, to turn her back on him," Andersen revealed, also claiming that the disgraced royal was even banned from her annual Together at Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey.
"He asked, through intermediaries, if he could slip in a side door," Andersen noted, before revealing that he was told: "Nope, we don't want your face on camera."
"Kate is looking forward," Andersen explained, adding that the mom-of-three knows anything she does now could affect not only her future as queen, but also the future of her son, Prince George, who will one day become monarch.
With that in mind, Andersen suggested that the Princess of Wales is especially conscious of protecting both the monarchy's reputation and her family's future, making any association with controversy something she is keen to avoid.
"She's the wife of a future monarch," Andersen said, reiterating the fact that she is the "mother of a future monarch."
