The annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton on Saturday, April 25th garnered a lot of media attention for obvious reasons, after a man reportedly stormed the venue armed with a “shotgun, a handgun, and knives,” according to CNN, with alleged plans to target President Donald Trump and other members of his administration.
The Secret Service reportedly rushed Trump, JD Vance, and other MAGA leaders out of the event. After the incident, the POTUS said in a 60 Minutes interview that it was “a rather traumatic experience” for his wife, Melania Trump, but said that “she handled it great.”
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt got a lot of attention too, firstly for her fashion choice, and secondly for a now-viral comment she made earlier that night. Keep reading for more info…

Karoline Leavitt Shows Off Her Baby Bump In Bedazzled Dress
Leavitt, who is currently pregnant with her second child with husband Nicholas Riccio, proudly showed off her baby bump in a figure-hugging black dress. The dress featured long sleeves, a modest neckline, and was covered in glittering sequins.
She accessorized with metallic pointed-toe heels and a black bag. Her blonde hair was worn in a side-parted down do with soft waves, and her makeup consisted of bold, dark lined eyes, bronzed cheeks, and a dark pink, plump lip.
But of course, the fashion and glam were quickly overshadowed by the security incident – and a comment Leavitt made earlier in the night.

Social Media Reacts To Karoline Leavitt's 'Weird' Viral Comment
Saturday's dinner marked the first time Trump has ever attended the event, having skipped it entirely during his previous presidency. During an interview with Fox News ahead of the dinner, Leavitt spoke about her excitement for the evening, particularly the president's speech...
"It'll be funny, it'll be entertaining," Leavitt said. "There will be some shots fired tonight in the room. So, everyone should tune in, it's gonna be really great."
As expected, her eerie comments ahead of the dinner and the evacuation quickly gained traction on social media. "How right she was," wrote one X user. "A little too right," a second agreed, as a third chimed in: "This did not age well."
"Such a weird thing to say," added a fourth X user in disbelief, while a fifth wrote: "The irony." "They literally outright tell us everything," added a sixth, as a seventh quipped: "First time she told the truth." "This is wild," declared an eighth.
