Melania Trump had the world’s eyes on her today, as she wore a super trendy butter-yellow skirt suit for the arrival of King Charles and Queen Camilla, just days after a “traumatic” event.
The First Lady stood beside President Trump as King Charles and Queen Camilla stepped out for a royal state visit, marking their first time back for an official state visit in the U.S. since Charles took the throne as king. For the exciting occasion, she wore a butter-yellow skirt suit, following one of this year’s notable color trends. Though she put on a smile today, social media has been wondering how she was coping following this weekend’s White House Correspondents’ dinner shooting. Read more about her outfit and the situation below.

Melania Trump Stuns In Butter-Yellow Skirt Suit To Welcome King Charles & Queen Camilla To The U.S.
Today is a day many royal family fans and politics enthusiasts have been looking forward to for weeks, as King Charles and Queen Camilla have officially touched down in America for their first state visit with President Trump and First Lady Melania. The special trip and meeting between the two leaders marks the first state visit by a UK monarch in almost 20 years.
Though there are a lot of people paying attention to the visit to see what the two men will discuss in terms of their two countries' relationship, as well as other worldwide issues, others are keeping their eyes on the fashion, as they're curious as to what looks the Slovenian native and 78-year-old queen will step out in for their highly publicized appearances.
Melania kicked off the visit with a very timely look, a simple yet spring-coded butter-yellow skirt suit. The suit was monochromatic down to the buttons, but she mixed things up by pairing it with some black and white snakeskin heels, which coincidentally matched Camilla's white and black dress and jacket.

Melania Keeps A Brave Face Despite 'Traumatic' Shooting Days Prior To State Visit
This state visit came at a pretty intense time for American politicians and members of the Trump administration, as just days before, a shooter infiltrated the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner, allegedly storming the Washington Hilton with plans to murder the president and other members of his administration.
Though the gunman was tackled and disarmed before he could hurt anyone, it was still a dramatic and disturbing scene at the dinner, as the Apprentice star and his wife were ushered to a safe space as other guests ran and hid in livestreamed footage. Clips of Melania staring wide-eyed towards the ballroom doors went viral as social media users pointed out how particularly horrified she looked.
During Trump's 60 Minutes interview right after the incident, he described it as "a rather traumatic experience" for his wife, but that "she handled it great." Despite Melania not yet responding to the experience herself, if she is still shaken, she did not let it show as she greeted the UK royals with a smile.
We'll be curious to see what other springtime looks she puts together for the state visit, and if she happens to open up even more about this weekend's shooting while talking to the monarchs.
