All eyes are on Coachella, and the first weekend delivered plenty of standout performances—and, of course, memorable fashion moments.
While the festival has long been associated with Western, boho, and Y2K-inspired styles—think lace, fringe, cowboy hats, and boots—it seems many of Hollywood’s biggest names are now leaning toward more laid-back, understated looks.
“It girls” like Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Hailey Bieber once embraced full-on desert-inspired fashion during the festival’s peak style era around 2016. But now, with each at the height of their careers and running their own businesses, their approach has noticeably shifted to something more low-key.
This year was no exception—and one trend they all seemed to embrace during weekend one? Micro mini crop tops.

Kendall Jenner
On Friday, April 10, Kendall Jenner’s brand, 818 Tequila, hosted its annual 818 Outpost event at Coachella. For the occasion, Jenner opted for a simple, laid-back look, wearing a white cropped cotton-blend tank top from Wardrobe.NYC—a collaboration tied to Hailey Bieber. She paired it with white denim shorts cinched at the waist with a black belt.
She accessorized with a blue Adidas cap, slim sunglasses, and a delicate necklace, while wearing her hair down for an effortless finish. Her glam stayed minimal—perfect for the desert setting—with light foundation, subtle pink blush, soft contour, and a plum-toned lip liner.
The supermodel later shared a glimpse of her outfit on Instagram Stories, posting a top-down shot of her look. She paired the clip with “All I Can Take” by Justin Bieber from his SWAG album, showing support for her longtime friend, who went on to perform the track as the opening song of his widely viral Coachella set the following day.

Hailey Bieber
Hailey Bieber debuted several understated looks throughout the three-day Coachella weekend, but one outfit quickly set the internet ablaze.
In a photo shared to her Instagram Story on April 11, the Rhode founder posed in a high-waisted thong bikini by Rogue Season, paired with a matching bikini top. Over it, she layered a sheer T-shirt in support of her husband Justin Bieber’s Coachella debut.
The top featured the words “Future Mrs. Bieber” printed in large gray lettering across the front. The Rhode mogul completed the look with a black cap, worn-down hair, and soft pink-toned glam for the mirror selfie.

Kylie Jenner
Kylie Jenner also showed up on Friday with her own take on the crop-top trend. The youngest Jenner sister added a spring-inspired twist to her look, wearing a ruffled white Ann Demeulemeester micro crop top held together with delicate strings. The piece featured ruffled hems and bell sleeves, which she styled with a silver belly chain and light-wash jeans.
Now, all eyes are on what the group will bring to the second and final weekend of Coachella, taking place from April 17 to 19.
