Céline Dion Surprises Fans With An Announcement Video On Instagram
Over the last few years, one of the most iconic belting vocalists of her generation, Céline Dion, has had her fans and other people around the world concerned for her.
After revealing she was diagnosed with the rare neurological disorder, Stiff Person Syndrome, the autoimmune condition that can cause painful muscle stiffness and spasms, the vocalist has been opening up about how much it’s impacted her life and singing career. She documented a lot of it in her documentary, I Am: Céline Dion, which included an alarming scene of her experiencing a full-body spasm.
Now, following some rest, rehabilitation, and an astonishing comeback performance during the 2024 Paris Olympics, yesterday, on her birthday, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer made an “important” announcement in an Instagram video.
“I wanted to let you know that I’m doing great, managing my health,” she said. “I’m feeling good, I’m singing again, even doing a little bit of dancing, obviously, I love it so much. But I have to tell you something very important. I’ve missed you so much, and that brings me back to my birthday, actually.”
“So, this year, I’m getting the best gift of my life: I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris beginning in September this year,” she continued.
