Jimmy Fallon has roasted Donald Trump more times than we can count – and he just did so again on the October 22nd episode of The Tonight Show.

The comedian had a lot of material to work with following Trump’s October 21st South Carolina campaign rally, particularly a “really weird noise” the president made while talking. And Fallon didn’t hold back when it came to mocking it! Keep reading to find out more…

Jimmy Fallon Mocks Donald Trump Making Strange Noise While Discussing Nikki Haley

The comedian mocked the moment the 80-year-old POTUS appeared to stumble over his words while discussing former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, whom he appointed as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations during his first term.

Trump said: “I’d say 90 percent of the reason I took the governor – UHP. I took the governor, I put her over at the United Nations, because I wanted this guy to be, I wanted the guy to become governor.”

Fallon then joked: “It’s like a burp, a hiccup, and a dry-heave all in one.” He then quipped: “Sounds like Melania on their wedding night.”

He played the noise several times, adding: “Trump’s been in so many MRI machines, he now sounds like one.” The audience erupted with laughter, after which Fallon played a remixed version of Trump’s jumbled speech and the garbled “UHP” sound he made.

Other Times Donald Trump Has Seemingly Forgotten Other People’s Names

This isn’t the first time Trump has stumbled over people’s names, with several other instances in recent months and years also attracting attention.

Earlier this month, at an October 13th rally in Wasilla, Alaska, Trump referred to Republican gubernatorial candidate Bernadette Wilson as “a very nice female governor” instead of using her name. Although he did use her name several times throughout the event, it didn’t seem to stop people from voicing their concerns about his cognitive health.

Previous blunders have included referring to Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), who previously served as his White House physician, as “Ronny Johnson” during a June 15th, 2024 speech in Detroit. The mix-up was particularly notable because Trump was discussing a cognitive test he had taken while president.

More recently, at a February 19th, 2026 Board of Peace meeting in Washington, D.C., Trump struggled to pronounce Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s name. He said at the time: “President Mirsu-oyev of Uzbekistan who is… where? There he is. A friend of mine, he’s got one of the most difficult names in history, but that’s okay, doesn’t matter.” At the same meeting, Trump appeared to avoid saying the name of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, saying, “Say hello to the d—general/president,” as Trump pointed at Sisi.

He also avoided naming Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, saying at the time: “It was a great thing you did, you and your new friend. These are two tough cookies.”
