Victoria Beckham is facing backlash online after sharing how her teen daughter, Harper Beckham, asked her to contact her school after being told she was not allowed to wear makeup to class. While the fashion designer described her youngest child as skilled at applying natural makeup, some social media users criticized the teenager’s request, calling it entitled.

During an interview with milkmakeup, the former singer explained that Harper is particularly good at creating a subtle makeup look. However, the 15-year-old is not permitted to wear makeup while at school.

“Quite recently she said, ‘They’ve told me that I’m not allowed to wear makeup for school,’” Victoria recalled. “She said, ‘Why don’t they want me to look my best?’”

Harper Beckham Called 'Entitled' For Challenging School's Makeup Rule

Harper then reportedly asked her mother to intervene.

“She’s like, ‘Mummy, can’t you call the school?’ I’m like, ‘I can’t, Harper,’” Victoria said.

Harper has also been preparing to enter the beauty industry, with reports suggesting she is developing her own brand, reportedly called Harlo by Harper.

The proposed gender-neutral skincare, cosmetics, and fragrance line is said to target Generation Z and Generation Alpha. The concept reportedly came after Harper experienced teenage skin issues and acne breakouts while experimenting with products that were not suitable for her skin.

The brand is expected to launch in 2027, although it has reportedly encountered trademark hurdles in the United States.

However, Victoria’s account of Harper’s reaction to the school’s makeup policy did not go down well with some online commenters. Several criticized the teenager for asking her mother to challenge the rules, arguing that school policies should apply regardless of a student’s background.

The Internet Reacts

“Speaks volumes about how spoilt and entitled she is. What a little madam she is demanding her mother phone the school,” one person wrote under Daily Mail's coverage of the story.

“School rules still apply to nepo babies. Get over yourself,” another commented.

A third person added, “Shock horror — spoilt little rich girl learns that reality has rules you have to follow.”

Others questioned why Harper would want to wear makeup to school in the first place.

“Who allowed her to go to school with makeup on in the first place?” one user asked.

“Girls of 15 do not need to wear makeup at school!!” another wrote.

“Another entitled brat who doesn't see why rules should apply to her,” someone else commented.

“Why wear makeup at school? She’s still just a kid,” another user added.

While some commenters viewed Harper’s request as an example of privilege, others may see it as a typical teenage disagreement over appearance and school rules.

Victoria’s anecdote, however, has reignited debate over makeup policies for teenagers and the expectations placed on children growing up in famous families.
