Jaden Smith is continuing to push fashion boundaries in his role as men’s creative director for Christian Louboutin—this time with a luxury loafer featuring an unexpected detail: a crystal-covered snail perched on a piece of lettuce.
The shoe, called the Einsnail On The Feet Dandydeco, is currently listed on Christian Louboutin’s website for $1,890. Crafted from black patent calf leather, the slim-fitting loafer features one shoe adorned with a decorative snail and lettuce motif embellished with hand-placed crystals, reflecting the French fashion house’s signature avant-garde aesthetic.
The upper is finished with a grosgrain trim inspired by the lapels of a classic smoking jacket, while the elongated silhouette gives the loafer a formal, dressy appearance.

Once photos of the design began circulating on social media, fashion fans quickly weighed in—and many weren't impressed with Jaden's unconventional design.
"I swear bro is designing for The Capitol. This is a Hunger Games episode and this looks like what the elites wore in that movie," one person wrote.
Another commented, "They gotta fire young boy. He just up there doing anything."
Others took aim at Jaden's appointment itself, with one writing, "Nepo babies…" while another added, "I think this nepotism thing has gone too far." Several users simply questioned the design, asking, "Who the heck is going to wear these?"

This isn't the first time one of Jaden's footwear designs has left the internet scratching its head. Fresh off its debut at Paris Fashion Week in this month, the Karate Kid actor unveiled Christian Louboutin’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, which embraced an “avant black tie” aesthetic by blending formalwear with sculptural, wearable art.
Among the standout pieces are the now-viral “Claw Feet” shoes, square-toe lace-up shoes with five-toe detailing, and the rugged TCT High Hiker boots. In a behind-the-scenes video, the 28-year-old walked fans through the collection and explained the inspiration behind the unusual Claw Feet design.
“These are the Claw Feet,” he said while holding up the shoes. “Christian has a hotel in Portugal. He’s an architect, and inside the hotel we were having dinner when I saw a statue that had these feet on it. I said, ‘You know, we should make a shoe inspired by the statue.'”
The bold red shoes feature furry, textured uppers reminiscent of Chewbacca along with exaggerated claw-like toenails, making them one of the most talked-about pieces in the collection.
