What: Skinkiss Limited Caffeine Slimming Tights

Back in May, your fearless beauty product reviewer donned the Skinkiss Limited Caffeine Slimming Tights, the hosiery that promises to reduce cellulite, improve skin’s elasticity, and shrink thighs up to 2 cm, after wearing daily for 28 days. The secret is the caffeine, which is introduced into the fiber of the tights using micro-capsules that act on the skin with the heat from your body. The effect is supposed to last for up to five washings.

Well… here we are, a solid month later, and I’m not sure if the tights had a noticeable effect. They were comfortable to wear and did not snag easily (a bonus in my book any time we’re talking about tights). While I didn’t significantly vary my exercise or diet during this time (Full disclosure: I am a runner), I also didn’t see a significant reduction in my thighs. From my measurements, they are about 1 cm smaller, but that could be just as easily chalked up to variations in my measurement method as to the tights.

Result: Inconclusive. While my results seem to lean toward the positive, other testimonials on the website hail greater success. Worth the $65 and transatlantic shipping fee? Maybe not, since they did not prove to be miraculous.
