Having Victoria Beckham as your mom definitely comes with perks—like access to an iconic wardrobe. But it turns out not everything is up for grabs for her daughter, Harper Beckham.
While speaking at the Time100 Summit in New York City last week, the fashion designer was asked whether Harper, 14, might inherit any of her famous outfits.

Harper Beckham Banned From One Item In Her Mom's Closet
“She loves fashion, she loves beauty, and I’m pretty sure she would love to get her hands on those Spice Girls costumes …” Victoria said, before adding with a laugh, “Well not the PVC catsuit just yet. She’s 14, ok. So we’re going to wait for that.”
The 52-year-old also shared just how involved her daughter has been in her world from a young age. “She’s been sitting on my lap through product development meetings since she was a baby. I mean, she is as obsessed with product as I am,” she added.
The outfit in question is one of Victoria’s most memorable looks from her Spice Girls days. In the 1996 “Say You'll Be There” music video, she wore a now-iconic black PVC catsuit paired with stiletto heels. The sleek, high-neck jumpsuit—reportedly inspired by the 1965 film Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!—was styled with dark lipstick and smoky eye makeup, cementing it as one of her most recognizable fashion moments.

Victoria Beckham Reveals Harper's Shopping Habits
The mom of four also opened up about her daughter’s shopping habits. Earlier this month, she spoke with The Sunday Times Style while discussing her new collaboration with Gap.
“I remember going to Gap with my mum and sister and being so excited by it,” she told the magazine. “Growing up, it was only ever the high street. I wasn’t in a position to wear designer clothes.” She added that Harper shares that same love for accessible fashion: “[Harper] loves nothing more than shopping on the high street. She’s going to love the Gap collection when she gets her hands on it.”
The conversation around fashion access comes as celebrities like Kylie Jenner make headlines for their ultra-luxury wardrobes—most recently her wall of Birkin bags. Victoria, however, has admitted she’s selective when it comes to her own collection.
Speaking to Vogue in 2024, she said, “I’m not too precious about [my wardrobe] unless it’s Hermès. When Harper eyes up those handbags [I say]: ‘Not just yet.’ I love my clothes, I look after my clothes, and they are there to be enjoyed.”
