Whoopi Goldberg has said some questionable things during her tenure as co-host of The View, but her latest comments about Donald Trump’s war on Iran and Nancy Guthrie’s missing person case might be one of the craziest. The 70-year-old comedian has suggested that Trump launched this war on Iran as a way of distracting the general public from other issues, like the Epstein files or Nancy Guthrie’s missing person case. Keep reading for more information.

Whoopi Goldberg Thinks War With Iran Is A Distraction From Nancy Guthrie Missing Person Case
In late February, Donald Trump launched war on Iran, launching missiles in collaboration with Israel. For the past several months, the government has been releasing thousands of the Epstein files, which name Donald Trump, among other public figures, as Epstein co-conspirators. Nancy Guthrie, Savannah Guthrie's mother, has been missing for over 3o days. What do all these things have in common?
According to Whoopi Goldberg, Trump's war with Iran is meant to serve as a distraction from the Epstein files and Nancy Guthrie's missing persons case. During a conversation on The View about the war with Iran, Whoopi said, "It's nutty as hell. And you're right, every day it's something new. And it's, you know, I was thinking about it yesterday, because I thought, 'Well, OK, why haven't we been talking about Savannah Guthrie and what's been going on there? Why haven't we—why have we not been talking about the Epstein files?' Because that's still there."
"This is meant to get us so worked up that we are unable to see anything else," she concluded.

Social Media Reactions
Across social media platforms, many users reacted with shock to Goldberg's claims. "You can't make this crap up," one user wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
"It's official," another person wrote, "Whoopi might have actually lost her mind."
"Wait...what?" another asked. "Does Whoopi Goldberg thing there's an 84-year-old women human trafficking ring?"
"No common sense is her real problem," another suggested.
"What a ludicrous and ignorant statement," one person posted.
"I appreciate that she's trying to bring attention to real issues that she's right—we certainly shouldn't ignore—but claiming that a whole a** war is a distraction from the Nancy Guthrie missing persons case? Please," a final person posted.
