When it comes to owning an iPhone, one of your number one priorities should be ensuring that your device is charged for as long as possible.
One of the most frustrating parts of having a phone is dealing with a low battery from time to time, and some people have to deal with one that seems like it’s constantly draining. Although charging your phone might seem like a simple process, there are actually efficient and inefficient ways to get it done, as there are some charging habits that can end up draining your battery over time. We spoke to tech experts about some of the best ways to preserve your phone’s battery life over time. Read more about what one of them had to say below.

The Best Ways To Preserve Your iPhone's Battery Life
If you're looking to keep up a longer-lasting battery and even a longer-lasting phone, there are ways to do it via your charging habits and techniques.
There are many people who go throughout their day without plugging in their phone and often let their phone die completely. It's understandable, as it might be hard to get the chance to charge if you work a busy job, are out of the house a lot, etc. However, there is one thing tech experts say you should avoid when it comes to your battery life and percentage, as it can help you preserve your battery over time.
"Draining an iPhone battery all the way to 0% on a regular basis puts excessive stress on the battery," explains tech expert Steven Athwal. "Lithium-ion batteries generally like shallow cycles better than full drains."
Instead of allowing your phone to die or drain below 20% battery throughout the day, there's a 'sweet spot' that's good for charging, which will help preserve your battery.
"It is way more beneficial to maintain the charge between 20% and 80% if you want to protect the battery's health in the long run rather than using up every last percent of the battery," adds Athwal.
