Sydney Sweeney is continuing to make headlines, especially now that, amidst award season and the release of a new film, she’s launched her own lingerie brand.

The Euphoria actress announced the arrival of Syrn, her new lingerie brand that not only has a noteworthy extensive size range, but also is said to tackle the uncomfortable, less conventional style of bras and undergarments. However, around the time she announced the release of her brand and shared photos from her promotional photoshoot, she was slammed for her controversial response to the public, calling her a “MAGA Barbie” following her political affiliation backlash. Sydney Sweeney Poses In A Tiny Tank Top & Lingerie Sets To Promote Her New 'Syrn' Brand

The 28-year-old actress has built herself a reputation as a blonde bombshell over the years, and while she's stated that she wants to be known for more beyond her looks, she did start a business venture that is related to them.

This week, she launched a surprise lingerie brand, Syrn, which features all sorts of bras, sets, underwear, and more. In interviews to promote the brand, Sydney discussed how she was inspired to put out and design bras and other undergarments that were both functional and more comfortable, as well as attractive and fun.

"As the sole founder, my vision was to create something that lives in real life and doesn't hold anyone back," she told ELLE.

As the website for the brand was published, so were a series of promotional photos the Housemaid star posed for, and the snaps are certainly turning heads. She can be seen posing for sultry photos in all sorts of products, from a lacey white set to a tiny, micro-mini tank top and matching white underwear.

She tested out both minimalist and 'maximalist' looks, either looking at the camera in intense makeup and styled hair, or more dressed down and natural-looking.

Sydney Responds To Public Claims That She's A 'MAGA' Barbie

As the lingerie brand and site were announced to the public, the excitement was slightly squandered, as she also had an interview with Cosmopolitan published, where she addressed some of the backlash she faced last year, specifically related to her American Eagle jeans campaign, which was supported by President Donald Trump.

Since then, it was revealed that she had registered voting status as a Republican, and mostly dodged the questions involving her politics, until now, that is, after she was asked about how she felt being labeled as a "MAGA Barbie" online.

"I've never been here to talk about politics," she responded. "I've always been here to make art, so this is just not a conversation I want to be at the forefront of, and I think because of that, people want to take it even further and use me as their own pawn. But it's somebody else assigning something to me, and I can't control that."

Due to her response, which is stirring up controversy and debates online, we can't say for sure what that means for the future of her lingerie brand. Still, she's continuing to promote and rep it, with her photos catching social media's attention as well.
