While the Met Gala has come and gone, conversations around “nepo babies” making their red carpet debuts at young ages are still dominating online discussions. After Blue Ivy Carter sparked debate for attending the event at 14 and facing criticism over a moment involving her sunglasses on the carpet, attention has now shifted to another high-profile debut.

Many fans are now discussing Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, who attended the 2026 Met Gala at age 17 as the daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.

Sunday Rose Wears Dior At Met Gala

For her first appearance at the event, Sunday wore a custom Dior gown designed by Jonathan Anderson.

Staying true to the “Fashion Is Art” dress code, her look featured a strapless, structured bodice covered in three-dimensional floral appliqués in shades of pink, lavender, mauve, and blue. The floor-length pale pink skirt flowed in a lightweight fabric designed to resemble a blooming flower in motion. She completed the look with purple floral statement earrings.

Her hair was styled long, straight, and sleek with a middle part—echoing her mom's hairstyle.

According to reports, the floral detailing was intended to symbolize “something blooming,” which reflected her debut at the prestigious fashion event.

Her attendance at 17 also drew attention, as it falls below the Met Gala’s typical age threshold of 18+, though her appearance was permitted given her mother’s role as a co-chair for the event.

Sunday Rose Trolled For Her Met Gala Look

Social media users often turn into full-on fashion critics during Met Gala season, and the model's debut was no exception—especially on Reddit, where reactions were particularly blunt.

Some users criticized the growing presence of celebrity children at the event, with one writing, “I’m tired of entertainment being reduced to a debutante ball for nepo babies at this point. It’s just boring.”

Another added, “Plain Jane nepo babies in hideous dresses,” while a different commenter said, “I’m irritated with the blatant nepotism.”

Others focused on her runway and fashion history, with one user noting, “When I saw her walk that Miu Miu fashion show for her first show I was so irritated. I don’t mind nepotism at all when the kid is actually talented,” prompting another response: “Oh, right, she stomped down the runway poorly, didn’t she? I’d forgotten about that.”

Additional comments ranged from, “Looks like a maternity dress,” to “Poor Sunday, she looks like she’s covered in koosh balls.”
