Shakira Performs A Free Concert For 2 Million Fans In Brazil
The “Hips Don’t Lie” vocalist doesn’t go on tour with her popular music a lot, but this year, she’s back in the spotlight with a new tour as well as a massive performance in Brazil that drew a large crowd and a lot of attention.
On Saturday, May 2nd, Shakira took the stage at the waterfront venue on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Though the stop was part of her current “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” or “Women No Longer Cry,” world tour, where she’s singing hits off her 2024 album of the same name. However, this concert was special, since tickets were free of charge. Her dedicated Brazilian fanbase certainly pulled through, as the mayor of the city reported that there were 2 million people in attendance.
During the show, she also went through a series of costume changes, including a skin-tight, shimmering jumpsuit with the Brazilian flag made out of sequins on the front. The suit had a halter top and sparkled as she walked across the stage. She also left her long, signature curly hair down and was all smiles as the huge crowd cheered for her.
