Selena's actions came just one episode after Blanco faced backlash for sporting visibly dirty feet during the podcast's debut episode – something Gomez publicly defended him over at the time.
The controversial toe-kissing in the second episode came as they chatted with friends and collaborators Lil Dicky – real name Dave Burd – and his wife, Kristin Batalucco. When the conversation turned to public displays of affection, Blanco admitted that he often tries to tone down his PDA towards his wife, which he said he finds quite challenging sometimes.
"I try with every bone in my body not to be googly eyed with her," Blanco explained. He then referred to the toe-kissing moment and how much joy it brought him, adding: "I want to kiss her and jump her bones all the time, so to watch her just kiss my toe just really made my day."

The video quickly – and unsurprisingly – made its way onto social media, where reactions ranged from disbelief to outright horror and disgust. "Please tell me this is AI," begged one X user. "Choosing to believe this is AI generated to preserve my sanity," echoed a second, as a third said: "I miss the person I was 30 seconds ago before I scrolled and saw this on my timeline."
"Everything that I know about this couple was against my will," quipped a fourth. "What happened to her? Did her family stop loving her? What's the issue?" asked a fifth, as a sixth declared: "I am disgusted." "My bf could come out of a 5 hour long shower where he scrubbed his feet the whole time and I still wouldn't do that," noted a seventh, as an eighth wondered: "Why would you do something like that on the show?"
"She is definitely trying to make Justin Bieber jealous and I believe he is," thought a ninth X user, followed by the crying laughing emoji, as a tenth demanded: "Girl, get up." "That is just nasty af," criticized an eleventh, as a twelfth deemed the whole thing "disgusting," followed by a throwing up emoji.
The comments weren't any better on Instagram, where one user said: "Selena if you need help blink twice." "Gross," slammed a second, as a third declared: "Girl absolutely not."
