One of the stories shocking the nation over the last two months has been the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie. Despite not much movement in her case, it looks like the television host is getting ready to get back to work.
The Today icon recently visited her colleagues in New York City, where she confirmed that she’ll return to her job at some point. Now, an inside source is reporting that she’s considering going back as soon as next month. Though fans will be happy to see her again, many are concerned it’s a sign that Nancy’s case is getting ‘cold,’ but they are continuing to show the family their support. Read more about the situation below.

Insider Claims Savannah Guthrie Could Be Returning To 'Today' As Soon As Next Month
It's no secret that since January, the famous morning talk show has not been the same, as one of its popular hosts and reporters, Savannah, has been absent from work due to a family tragedy.
The 54-year-old has been out of work since February 1st of this year, leaving New York for her home state of Arizona to help in the search for her mother, Nancy, who mysteriously went missing in the early hours of that morning. Though there have been bits and pieces of evidence, the motive of her disappearance has remained a mystery, and she still has not returned home.
After months of asking for prayers and information on social media, Savannah took a trip back to NYC a few weeks ago to visit with her Today colleagues, giving them hugs and making a small speech to thank them for their support. At the end, she mentioned she'd return to work eventually, though she didn't know when, as her sole focus was her family.
An inside source recently told Page Six that the mom-of-two is allegedly "hoping to return to the Today show after her children's spring break." The time frame is estimated to be around April 10th, as that is when NYC students will return to classes.

Fans React To Savannah's Alleged 'Today' Update
Though this date and time period has not been confirmed by Savannah nor her official reps, the potential of her making a comeback in less than a month has garnered sympathetic reactions.
Some fans are expressing on social media that the return seems to be coming too soon, or that it addresses the frightening possibility that her mother's case has gone cold. Meanwhile, others are super supportive, sending messages of encouragement to the show host and her family.
"I hope that she knows that most people have been praying for her and her mom's well-being while she's been dealing with her personal issues," responded a fan on X.
"Life goes on," added another. "Her mother would want her to live her best life."
"It will do some good for her, though not having her mom back is so very sad and surely painful," commented a fan, as another wrote that "she needs to get back to some form of normal and needs all our support."
