More reports are coming out about Queen Camilla and Kate Middleton‘s alleged feud, and one of the newer ones is related to something extra petty.
A royal commentator recently went viral after creating a video that dove into the lore of royal fashion and the colors the royal family chooses to wear. In it, they alleged that the queen actually told Kate Middleton she was not allowed to wear her favorite regal, esteemed color – blue. This reportedly only added fuel to the fire between their already tense relationship, given that both women value and enjoy wearing it. Read more about the fashion story below.

Queen Camilla Reportedly Told Kate Middleton She 'Could Not' Wear The Color Blue To Royal Outings
Though there is a lot that the royal family has to cover on a daily basis, fashion is certainly important, and it's often prioritized and more thought-out than some people think.
Everything from the type of hat to a certain color a member of the royal family wears is often well thought-out and planned in advance. Typically, it has to do with symbolism, cohesiveness, and more, but as it turns out, fashion in the royal family can become quite personal as well. Amid rumors of Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla's alleged "war" and tense relationship, it's being said that the queen is claiming the color blue for herself, first and foremost.
"Protecting Camilla's use of blue would have enforced a visual hierarchy for royal events," royal commentator Amanda Matta told Fox News Digital. "Let's not forget that Camilla entered palace life amid significant public skepticism, and she has spent the last two decades meticulously rewriting her story. Her preference for a saturated, commanding royal blue has been central to that project in recent years. Her preferred shade is literally 'royal blue.'"
In a viral TikTok video created by Matta, she also noted there were reports that Camilla had been "claiming blue and telling other royals, namely Kate [Middleton], they could not wear it."

Royal Experts Say Queen Camilla Can Now Choose Her Outfits & Colors Before Kate Middleton
Though it sounds like the 78-year-old claiming the color royal blue as her own must've been uncomfortable, once she became the Queen Consort, a senior member of the royal family, she was automatically able to get what she wanted anyway.
Royal experts claim that since she's the highest up in the monarchy alongside King Charles, she's allowed to select her ensembles and the color of them before anyone else. This kick-started a "problematic" issue between the queen and Princess of Wales, as blue reportedly happens to be their favorite color, a source told Express.
"The queen is now able to choose her outfits before all the other women in the royal family," they told the publication. "It's part of the royal pecking order, and that includes the clothes and color. Her Majesty's favorite color is blue, and so is Kate's."
"The royals love their blue," Matta added. "It could also signal that Camilla feels secure enough in her role as queen to cede some territory, sartorially speaking."
