The 43-year-old is one of today's buzzing celebrities, following the premiere of her latest film, The Bluff, and her appearance at the 2026 Oscars. However, sometimes, with a spike in population comes the resurfacing of viral clips or photos.
On social media, fans and other users began recirculating a video of Priyanka walking around the LAX airport in 2017. At one point, she stops to sign autographs for two fans, a man and a woman. Social Media Accuses Priyanka Of Hiring The Fans Seen In The Viral Video For A 'PR Stunt'
Though the video footage was from nearly ten years ago, when the former beauty queen was getting ready to marry her famous husband Nick Jonas, its resurfacing has come back with fury.
Following her appearance at this year's Oscars, the clip of her signing autographs for the same fans in one go went viral on X, as users accused her or her team of "hiring" the fans to make her look more popular.
"Imagine needing the same two people to pretend to be fans twice just to get media footage and make it look like Priyanka Chopra has a huge fan following in Hollywood," wrote the re-poster on X. "Honestly, it just shows how desperate she is for publicity."
"That is so embarrassing," responded a user. "They must have been paid well."
One X user wrote that they had "secondhand embarrassment" after watching the clip, and another commented that "Nobody asks for autographs anymore."
"They want selfies," they continued. "This is [definitely] a PR stunt. She's pathetic."
