As the world continues to process Prince Andrew‘s recent arrest, many have also wondered what it means for the future of his two famous daughters.
Following his arrest due to his ties to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and his involvement in the Epstein files, more whispers and statements began coming out about his two famous daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, wondering how they might be feeling in the midst of all the drama. As it turns out, sources recently came forward to state that the duo, who are also mothers, are working to distance themselves from the drama in order to “protect” their families, keeping distance from their father, whom they allegedly believe may have “duped” them. Read more about the situation and an update on the princesses below.

Princess Beatrice & Princess Eugenie Are Reportedly 'Staying Away' From Prince Andrew Amid News Of His Arrest
One of the most buzzing topics of this week was the arrest of the ex-Prince Andrew, who has been under fire in the media for years following the uncovering of his ties to and relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Since the latest release of the criminating Epstein files, it has become even clearer just how involved the disgraced royal was, which was one of the factors leading up to his arrest on February 19th. Although the world is awaiting details, it is known that a major contributor to his being taken into custody was suspicion of misconductin public office.
Despite him no longer being in police custody, it seems that there is one part of Andrew's life that will be changed forever - his relationship to his family, specifically his two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who, unlike their parents, have maintained their titles and are still working members of the royal family. As more news has come out about the 66-year-old and his connections to Epstein, which allegedly involve revealing important, confidential information regarding the UK to him, sources close to the princesses have noted they've gradually decided to stay away from him.
"They're trying to stay away from it," a source told People. "They have young children, and this is their grandfather — their focus is on protecting their own children from this."

Royal Experts Say The Princesses Feel 'Duped' By Their Father
The final release and publication of the files, which also included a lot of redacted documents, proved that the title-stripped royal likely was more connected to and involved with Epstein way more than he let on to both the public and his family, including his daughters. For instance, despite Andrew claiming he had cut off his relationship with the famous criminal in 2010, there were emails and photographs proving otherwise in the files.
According to royal expert and author Robert Jobson, it appears that he lied to his two girls, who are now moms to young children, just as much as he did to the public and media.
"They are pretty torn because they believed [their father]," Jobson told the above publication. "Just like the late Queen and Charles, Andrew told them all the same story — that he had done nothing wrong. My understanding is they feel pretty duped by the whole thing."
It's unclear as to exactly what the future holds for the two women and their relationship to their parents, including mother Sarah Ferguson, who was also found to have emailed Epstein. However, it wouldn't be very surprising if it were revealed that they officially cut ties with their father.
