Prince Harry recently spoke up about a topic that a lot of people weren’t expecting him to, and now, they can’t help but think about the impact it’s having on his father.

The estranged royal recently made a surprise visit to Ukraine, where, during a conference, he made a speech about the war and terror the country has faced over the last six years. As he called for “American leadership” in regards to bringing the war to an end, and spoke about how he came to the country not as a royal, but as a “soldier.” Though the comments seemingly had good intentions, numerous social media users couldn’t help but point out the timing as his father, King Charles, prepares for a state visit to the U.S. next week. Prince Harry Calls For 'American Leadership' While Speaking About The Ukraine War In Kyiv

One of the most buzzing topics surrounding Prince Harry, who changed the lives of all royal family members when he and Meghan Markle stepped down from their duties and moved to America, is his and his wife's unofficial 'royal visits.'

Though the duo explained how much they wanted to separate themselves from the monarchy and the lifestyle surrounding it, they've continued to carry out humanitarian and charitable visits to other countries, increasing their number of trips this year. Fresh off a controversial trip to Australia, the prince surprisingly traveled solo to Ukraine this week, where he spoke about his stance on the ongoing war between the country and Russia at the Kyiv Security Forum.

During his speech, the dad-of-two talked about his feelings on the war, and how Ukraine deserves more support and action from other powerful nations, like the United States. He noted that he was not speaking that day as a "politician," but a "soldier who understands service" and a "humanitarian who has seen the human cost of conflict."

"The United States has a singular role in this story," he said, as reported by People. "Not only because of its power, but because when Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons, America was part of the assurance that Ukraine's sovereignty and borders would be respected. This is a moment for American leadership. A moment for America to show that it can honor its international treaty obligations, not out of charity, but out of its own enduring role in global security and strategic stability."

Social Media Users Slam Harry's Speech & Accuse Him Of Embarrassing King Charles

After making his appearance at the security forum, there were numerous internet users who supported what the Spare author had to say. Still, others thought it wasn't his place to make that speech, given his position of privilege.

Additionally, users immediately pointed out the timing of his speech and comments on America's involvement in the war, which happened to come just days before his father, King Charles, and stepmother, Queen Camilla, are due to make a formal visit to the United States.

"This is the type of international incident and embarrassment we don't want, especially this close to the State Visit," wrote an X user. "Prince Harry must be stripped of every royal title and style."

"Embarrassing," responded another.

"He's gone too far," added a user.

We'll be curious to see if what the prince had to say about the ongoing conflict is brought up during the official meetings between King Charles and President Trump, but either way, there are lots of social media users who think he might've crossed a line.
