Earlier this month, Prince Harry travelled to London to testify against Daily Mail publisher Associated Newspapers over alleged unlawful information-gathering. And during the hearing, Prince Harry spoke emotionally about the psychological toll the press intrusion has taken on both him and his wife, Meghan Markle.
“By standing up here and taking a stand against them, this has continued to come after me,” the Spare author, 41, reportedly said in court, according to People.
“And they have made my wife’s life an absolute misery, my Lord. Through the course of this litigation, it’s only got worse, not better,” he continued. “It’s fundamentally wrong to put all of us through all of this again. What’s required is an apology and some accountability. It’s a horrible experience.”

Prince Harry Slammed For Attending Sundance Film Festival With Meghan Markle After Testifying In Court About Press Intrusion
With his statement in mind, it should come as no surprise to learn that he is being slammed as a hypocrite, among other things, for attending the Sundance Film Festival in Utah just a few days after his emotional display at the High Court in London just a few days prior.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who controversially still hold their royal titles despite ongoing pleas for them to be taken away, attended the festival for the premiere of their latest documentary, Cookie Queens. Insiders say the project is crucial for the couple's careers, as it comes amid a string of high-profile flops. The latest flop is With Love, Meghan, which has not been renewed by Netflix for a third season.
"Clearly there's a lot riding on this documentary," an insider told Page Six. "Honestly, it feels like this is their last chance at redemption and that this whole Hollywood experiment hangs in the balance," they added.

Prince Harry's Seemingly Hypocritical Movements Called Out
Although he and Meghan were at the festival with their documentary promo in mind, Prince Harry reportedly still had the trial on the brain, with the same insider telling Page Six: "They were very guarded. All Harry wanted to talk about was his Daily Mail trial."
"For Harry to go from the hearing – and pleading for privacy – to then go to Sundance just days after is nuts," the insider noted. That contradiction didn't go unnoticed online, with critics pointing out that Sundance is – not shockingly – packed with cameras and media professionals!
"Days after pleading for privacy in a London courtroom, Prince Harry was at Sundance with Meghan. Behind the flash: deals sputtering, staff cuts at Archewell, separate offices – and a Netflix polo show that lasted one season. Is he the 'spare' again?" asked one X user.

Social Media Reactions
"Harry and Meghan really can't get enough publicity, they're desperate for attention," slammed a second, adding: "Harry will do anything for a photo opportunity despite him telling everyone he hates the camera. What has Harry got to do with selling cookies? He'll do anything for attention."
A third criticized: "Just hours before this Harry was in a court room in Britain weeping, absolutely weeping, at how the media have ruined his life. And now here he is with his face in the media. What an absolute histrionic two-faced man or should I call him boy."
"Thought once Harold hated the press!" exclaimed a fourth, as a fifth echoed: "Prince Harry the hypocrite has a startling lack of self-awareness." "It is very disturbing," agreed a sixth, as a seventh called him a "classless mess." "Ahh… NutMeg and Hazbeen the Shameless Wannabes of Sundance," quipped an eighth, as a ninth said: "No one cares about the lying grifters Harry and Meghan."

Other X users jumped on the hypocrisy, not just in terms of attending the festival but Prince Harry's life in general, including spilling family secrets in Spare despite begging for privacy. "Pot kettle black! Who has commercialized their own life more than Prince Harry? He is an abject hypocrite!" wrote a tenth disgruntled X user.
"The complete lack of self-awareness coupled with the astounding hypocrisy of Prince Harry is jaw-dropping," added an eleventh, as a twelfth concurred: "He's such a hypocrite, what did he think his mudslinging for the last 6 years has done to the royal family?"
A final X user added: "Pointing out the massive elephant in the hypocritical room; Prince Harry is worse than any phone hacker or newspaper editor, he's recently invaded people's privacy between 2020-25. He's published & repeated alleged private and personal details for Oprah, Netflix, & Spare money."
