It has been over six years since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as working royals in a bid to become financially independent. But their post-royal career has been rocky to say the least, with one apparent flop after another.
According to new reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s star power has steadily declined over the years, for example after losing their Spotify deal, and then after the release of lackluster projects such as Prince Harry’s “cringe” and “tacky” Polo series.
And things are reportedly worse than ever, with their popularity apparently taking the biggest hit after losing their $100M Netflix deal last year. Keep reading for more info…

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Seemingly Lose Their Star Power
Prince Harry and Meghan didn't completely lose their Netflix deal and did reportedly negotiate a different arrangement with the streaming giant last year, but it seemingly has not matched the scale – or the success – of their original agreement. And to make things worse, Meghan's series With Love, Meghan was also cancelled after just two seasons.
If Netflix viewing figures and the cancellation of Meghan's controversial show were not enough to raise eyebrows, IMDb's weekly Starmeter rankings have all but confirmed that they are falling out of favor with the public.
According to new figures which have been shared online, the Sussexes have tumbled down the rankings in the Starmeter published by the world's leading online movie database. The Starmeter reportedly uses a range of metrics – including box office performance, critical reviews, current deals and projects, as well as page views and fan searches.

The former Suits actress has topped the Starmeter twice in the past, but she has now reportedly dropped to 2,133rd place. Prince Harry's peak ranking was reportedly No. 12 in January 2023 following the release of his bombshell memoir Spare, but he now finds himself in the 36,600th spot. Ouch!
This seems to echo what a Hollywood insider reportedly claimed about their popularity last year! "There is not only no appetite left for them in L.A., but they've also worn through any good will they had," a Hollywood insider spilled to Page Six in November 2025. Another insider added: "People are sick of them, the act has gotten stale."

A Hollywood Insider Weighs In
Regarding Prince Harry's popularity – or lack thereof – a Hollywood production insider reportedly told the Express: "That's not a mistake or a misprint. Harry's right down there with the unknowns and also-rans."
The insider then spoke about the mom-of-two, and said they believed she was ever so slightly more successful due to her other business ventures. But even they are not enough to make a significant difference…
They said: "I think Meghan would have been way further down the ladder too were it not for the limited popularity of her online brand (As Ever), a brief revival of her TV series (the legal drama Suits) last year and a Christmas special of her cookery show (With Love, Meghan – which has now been cancelled by Netflix after two seasons)."
