Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have maintained that they are happy they stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and relocated to Montecito, California, and they regularly try to present themselves as thriving.

But that doesn’t appear to be the case, amid their ongoing failed projects, recent reports that their neighbors don’t particularly like them and actively try to avoid them, and claims that Hollywood is “sick” of them.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Are Reportedly Looking For A Second Home Near Hollywood

With all of this in mind, it's interesting to learn that they are reportedly looking to purchase a new home. While they don't intend to leave their 14,500-square-foot nine-bedroom and 16-bathroom Montecito property, they are said to be considering a second home closer to Hollywood so they can be nearer to events, parties, and A-listers.

According to Star, the Sussexes want to be "closer to Los Angeles," with an insider claiming they made the decision "after lengthy drives from their Montecito residence."

The insider added that their current home is "more of a vacation enclave than a networking hub for Hollywood." And the former Suits actress – who could potentially return to acting in the not-so-distant future – reportedly wants "closer ties to the social scene" and is considering areas such as Brentwood, Bel Air, Malibu, or Calabasas.

"Calabasas could place them near Kris Jenner," the source added. However, Jenner and the rest of the Kardashians were reportedly very unhappy after the Sussexes forced them to take down pictures of them from Jenner's 70th birthday party, so we're not too sure whether that proximity would be a positive or a negative. We're leaning towards the latter!

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Montecito Neighbors Are 'Avoiding' Them

It was recently reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex don't have the best relationship with their Montecito neighbors. While they are not said to be actively feuding, there are claims that locals are choosing to distance themselves from the couple.

"They are avoiding them. No one wants to be seen with them," a source reportedly told Page Six. "It's not hate. It's just a growing awareness that they're takers with zero self-awareness. Everyone's exhausted by them," they added.
