North West is continuing to embrace her edgy new era while seemingly ignoring online criticism, debuting dramatic new piercings alongside her latest music video release.
Earlier this month, the 12-year-old released the music video for “#N0rth4evr,” the title track from her debut EP of the same name. The visual leaned heavily into a dark, goth-punk aesthetic, featuring scenes of her walking through a graveyard, dancing in front of a massive angel statue, and wearing layered emo-inspired fashion and accessories.

North West Debuts Anti-Eyebrow Piercing
Throughout the eerie video, the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West showcased dramatic styling choices that matched the moody concept, but it was her facial piercings that sparked the most conversation online.
The young star appeared to debut an anti-eyebrow piercing—typically placed just below the eye along the upper cheekbone—as well as a bridge piercing across the top of her nose. While reports suggested the piercings were likely faux for the video, North is no stranger to body modification speculation. Earlier in 2026, rumors circulated that she had gotten a microdermal single-point piercing on her finger.
Although fans weren’t shocked by her interest in alternative fashion and piercings, many social media users focused their attention on the music itself, criticizing the heavy use of autotune and questioning her rise as a celebrity child entering the music industry.
“A rich kid with autotune, yay!” one commenter wrote.
Another asked, “Did this kid ever get a chance to just be a kid?”
Others were even harsher, with comments including, “This is horrible music,” and “It’s autotune—that’s not talent!” Another user wrote, “I’m sorry, but this poor kid needs guidance lol,” while another commented “When money meets ego and nepotism, but not talent.” Some critics also pointed to her age, with one person writing, “She’s 12—that’s just sad.”

North West Hosts First Pop-Up And Attends Rolling Loud Festival
North is clearly keeping busy as she continues stepping further into the music world.
On May 1 and 2, North hosted a pop-up event in Los Angeles celebrating the release of her debut EP. The immersive event featured exclusive merchandise, limited-edition vinyl, themed installations, and even an ice cream stand for fans attending the launch.
The pop-up was supported by her parents, Kim and Kanye, as well as Kanye’s wife, Bianca Censori. The event marked another major step in North’s transition from celebrity kid to aspiring music artist.
Just days later, she made another surprise appearance at Rolling Loud Orlando on May 9. She joined rapper Molly Santana onstage during her set to perform an unreleased collaboration together.
Festivalgoers also spotted North supporting artist 2Slimey at the Zig Zag stage before later watching Playboi Carti’s performance.
