Once the Becoming author and her infamous husband, Barack Obama, left the White House after his eight years in office in 2017, many wondered what their lives would look like now that they were no longer in charge of helping run a country.
Michelle in particular has taken on a slew of projects, some of her most notable ones being her books, her podcast, In My Opinion, and her and her husband’s buzzing Obama Presidential Center, which opened up on Chicago’s South Side this June. However, it looks like they’ve also been making time for fun, being photographed on vacation, as well as going out dancing.
Yesterday, an Instagram video was shared by a Martha’s Vineyard establishment, where the mom-of-two could be seen enjoying a daytime party on the island. In the first clip of the video, she’s seen dancing around to 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” while embracing a woman celebrating her birthday. In the second, she’s participating in a group dance to “Wobble,” and flashing smiles as she dances in sync with other party attendees.

Because she's typically known for her professional, tame, and put-together presence, it didn't take long for the video of the best-selling author to go viral, as it's not often fans and social media users get to see her let go and party like that.
Although the bar she was at, Noman's, and the daughter of the party's birthday girl, clarified that Michelle wasn't an invited guest, she was a highlight in the crowd, and seemed very happy and carefree while dancing around with the patrons. Once the video was shared on platforms like Instagram, it didn't take long for her fans to chime in on how great they thought she looked at the party.
"Even though they had never met, she made it a point to show kindness and celebrate someone else's special day," wrote popular Instagram account, Vineyard Icon.
"She's been so much happier outside of that White House!" noted a user. "Y'all gotta stop asking them to go back."
