During a visit to The Children’s Inn at NIH in Maryland on Wednesday, Melania Trump impressed in a tailored khaki midi dress featuring long sleeves, a structured collar, and gold button detailing.
The First Lady cinched the look with a wide, dark reddish-brown belt and paired it with beige pointed-toe heels, while wearing her hair in soft, subtle waves.
The ensemble was chosen for her visit with children facing rare diseases, where she took part in arts and crafts activities ahead of Valentine’s Day.

The facility provides housing for children, teens, and young adults with rare and serious diseases who are participating in clinical trials at the Bethesda hospital.
Several sweet moments from the visit quickly went viral on social media. In one video, the mother of one encouraged a group of teens to speak openly with her—and one young man at the table decided to shoot his shot.
“I don’t play chess, but I know a queen when I see one,” said Marlon, a smitten teen whose brother is a patient at the facility, joking that he’d like to call the former model “your highness.”
Melania burst into laughter, calling the flirty admirer a “charmer” and playfully warning that girls should “watch out.”
In another exchange, a child asked what kind of music she enjoys.
Melania replied, “I listen to all kinds of music. I like Michael Jackson, Pavarotti, and Tina Turner. I like Miley Cyrus. You know, we have a few songs that are our favorites, and we have them on our iTunes. It's hard to choose the favorite song, but one of them is Michael Jackson’s "Billie Jean.'"
