Melania Trump turned heads once again with her signature refined style during a recent appearance as First Lady.
While attending the premiere of the musical Chicago at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the Melania star stunned in a white fringe dress by Michael Kors—a standout piece she chose to rewear. See the current look here.
The design, a Michael Kors Collection tiered fringe double-crepe sheath, has become a memorable part of her fashion archive thanks to its striking 1920s flapper-inspired aesthetic. The sleeveless dress features a high bateau neckline and cascading layers of long fringe, crafted from elegant double-crepe fabric. Now sold out on the brand’s official website, it’s considered a rare collector’s item.

Melania Trump Wows In A 1920s-Style Flapper Dress
The mom of one first debuted the dress in July 2017 during a concert and banquet at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany, where she paired it with white python Christian Louboutin pumps—a styling choice she repeated for this latest appearance.
Fans online were quick to praise the look, with many applauding her timeless elegance. “Super elegant,” one person wrote on X. Another added, “What a fun dress!!” while someone else commented, “How cool. Very 20s/flapper looking.”
More reactions poured in, including, “Gorgeous and appropriate with the Chicago show. What a cool and beautiful First lady,” and “Looking classy and feminine. Props to you, FLOTUS.” On Instagram, one fan wrote, “Beauty, grace and brains… Melania is stunning,” while another added, “I’m always amazed at how elegantly she walks in those HEELS.”
“Stunning! Melania is 100% the most beautiful and elegant First Lady ever,” another user wrote. “She speaks several languages and has an amazing background."
Donald And Melania Trump Receive Mixed Reactions At Chicago Opening Night
The 55-year-old attended the event alongside Donald Trump, and as usual, the pair received mixed reactions from the crowd at the Kennedy Center. Chicago is one of the final shows scheduled at Washington’s premier arts venue before it closes for two years of renovations.
Video of the Trumps’ arrival on the balcony shows many attendees applauding and cheering, but a few boos could be heard. Much of the criticism stems from Trump’s controversial actions at the Kennedy Center, including removing the existing board and replacing it with mainly MAGA supporters.
To further add fuel to the fire, the board—chaired by Trump himself—renamed JFK’s living memorial to The Donald J. Trump and John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts, a move that sparked outrage much outrage.
However, he is standing by his decision. On Truth Social, the 45th and 47th president defended the controversial changes: “A show of Bipartisan Unity, a Republican and Democrat President! All I am doing is fixing, cleaning, running, and ‘sprucing up’ a terribly maintained, for many years, Building, but a Building of potentially great importance.”
