Her husband may be extremely controversial, but Melania Trump consistently delivers undisputed, stylish looks time after time. However, not all of her fashion choices seem to land, with one of her outfits during last year’s state visit immediately coming to mind.
The tailored dark-blue Christian Dior haute couture skirt suit was undeniably chic, but it was the oversized, dramatic purple hat she accessorized with that caused a huge stir online, with many people likening her to a lampshade. And she has once again divided the internet with one of her latest ensembles…

Melania Trump Wears A Ralph Lauren Skirt Suit With A Wide Brim Hat During King Charles And Queen Camilla's State Visit
The First Lady's divisive latest outfit came during King Charles and Queen Camilla's highly-anticipated visit to the U.S., which was partly in aid of celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence.
The King and Queen Consort were formally received by President Donald Trump and Melania on the South Lawn in Washington, D.C., with Melania wearing a chic ivory-colored skirt suit by Ralph Lauren for the occasion.
The elegant pencil skirt fell just below the knee, and was teamed with a matching fitted blazer featuring buttons all the way down the front, as well as matching sky-high Manolo Blahnik heels. Most controversially of all, she accessorized with a Javits wide-brim raffia hat finished with a white ribbon around the middle, with her hair worn in a chic chignon.
Many people on the internet likened the mom-of-one to a floor lamp based on the silhouette of the ensemble, as well as her stiff posture in some of the pictures. However, others completely disagreed and praised the First Lady's impeccable style.

Melania Trump's Look Divides The Internet
"That hat with that suit… Melania's taste in fashion is just as bad as her taste in husband lol," quipped one Instagram user. "Melania is like a statue – no personality whatsoever," slammed a second.
"Melania looking like a floor lamp again," criticized a third, followed by the eye-rolling emoji, perhaps in reference to the aforementioned Dior look from last year. "Melania and Kate Middleton = mannequins," a fourth chimed in, followed by two face-palm emojis.
Not everyone felt the same way, however, with many others praising her style prowess. "The epitome of class and grace," gushed a fifth. "Looking stunning as always, most classy and beautiful lady," raved a sixth, followed by four red heart emojis. "Super chic!" exclaimed a seventh, as an eighth added: "Just a gorgeous First Lady."
