A new two-part docuseries about the First Lady is expected to premiere on Amazon later this year, with the First Lady saying she expects it to arrive around November, although an exact release date has not been announced. The series is reportedly going to explore her work in the White House, family life, career, and philanthropic efforts while giving viewers a closer look at her perspective.
The project follows Melania, the feature-length documentary directed by Brett Ratner that was released in January 2026. The film followed the Slovenian native during the 20 days leading up to Donald Trump's second inauguration, documenting her preparations for the White House transition and move back to Washington. It was released by Amazon MGM Studios and featured footage of her work, private conversations, and meetings.
However, in a new interview with Fox & Friends that aired last Wednesday, Melania says the new project will be different from the film, which drew a harsh response from critics and audiences.

Rather than simply continuing the same format, during her interview with the right-leaning news outlet, the 56-year-old described the docuseries as "more conversation one-on-one with me," adding that she plans to answer some private questions that viewers have never heard her address before.
"There's some private questions that I will answer that people never heard before, so it's kind of exciting," she continued.
One of the biggest critiques of her Melania documentary was that it didn't give much insight into her personal life, feelings, and history. Now, Melania herself, as well as several of her representatives, are talking a big game about how this film will give a much more intimate look into her life.
