Another day, another reason for Meghan Markle and her various business ventures to be roasted on social media.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, once again came under fire after sharing a new Instagram post promoting her As Ever sparkling wine. And this time, critics didn’t just take aim at the product itself, as they also slammed the photography, the editing, and even her so-called hosting advice, among other things.

Meghan Markle Promotes As Ever Sparkling Wine On Instagram
On February 21st, the former Suits star shared a series of images of her sparkling wine on the As Ever Instagram account, along with what she described as a simple hosting tip.
Several of the images highlighted the 2021 Vintage Napa Valley Brut, while others showed the sparkling wine being poured into glasses, finished with fresh raspberries floating inside.
The post read: "A simple hosting tip we always return to. Chill your brut well, pour slowly, and finish with a few fresh raspberries for garnish. Effortless, unfussy, and just celebratory enough for an easy evening in or before a fun night out."
While the post itself had the comments quite sensibly turned off, fans and critics quickly found other platforms to share their opinions on the product, the photography, alleged editing mishaps, the overall branding, and even the ice cubes that have the brand name on! So basically, everything that could have possibly been criticized was criticized!

Reddit Comments
Many critics claimed the photography and editing looked extremely amateurish, with one Reddit user writing: "The raspberry close-up and blurry drink + raspberry pic are screaming early 2000s high school photography class student with a teen who thinks they're artistic, but they're so lame." A second added: "The ice cube: Why does the loop of the 'r' extend past the edge of the cube? The usual sloppiness with Photoshop."
Others focused on the raspberry garnish itself. "So Mehgan is now trying to sell raspberries that didn't make it into jars of spread?" quipped a third, as a fourth slammed: "Adding raspberries isn't exactly revolutionary." "That close-up of the raspberry in the champagne is disgusting. It looks like fish eggs or insect eggs. Leave it to Markle and her fans to make something as appetizing as raspberries in champagne nauseating and gross," thought a fifth.
"I HATE having fruit in my champagne or in her case, sparkling wine," wrote a sixth, as a seventh agreed: “Does she think she discovered the concept of putting something like a raspberry or strawberry into a glass of sparkling wine?" And perhaps most cuttingly, an eighth asked: "Why is everything she does just so uninteresting?" "You couldn't pay me to drink this!" exclaimed a ninth.

"It looks so cheap!" exclaimed a tenth disapproving Reddit user, as an eleventh said: "It's called 'Lack of Creativity.' She is mind numbingly stupid." A twelfth added: "The entire campaign for this 'brand' has been unprofessional. Everything looks like a 6th grade media class project. I can't get over that she believes her handwriting is so beautiful that it would pass as a logo."
"As ever, she's a try hard disaster," a thirteenth critic wrote, as a fourteenth agreed, writing she "is trying far too hard." A fifteenth slammed: "She is still playing house. She is not a mature adult. She lives in a fantasy world like a little girl."
"It's just so stupid and laughable," declared another critic, as someone else commented: "What an embarrassment." A final user noted: "Her dad just got his prosthetic leg and she's gnawing on about her stupid champagne."
