Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary, and she surprised everyone by sharing some unseen content from the big day.

The famous controversial couple had a notorious royal wedding back in 2018, and this week, as they celebrated eight years of marriage, the As Ever founder surprised social media users by posting not one, but two ‘photo dumps’ from the big night. Not only was this surprising given how the couple has previously asked for more privacy, but also because there have been reports that she and Harry are “at odds,” with him wanting to reconcile with his estranged family. Read more about the situation below.

Meghan Markle Posts Two 'Photo Dumps' For Her & Meghan Markle's Anniversary

Royal weddings always draw a whole lot of attention from around the world, and the Harry & Meghan stars' wedding in 2018 was no exception.

Their wedding was particularly noteworthy, given their unconventional coupling with Meghan being an American actress. It garnered the attention of hundreds of thousands and was a momentous occasion in the royal family timeline. However, there's no denying that their lives have changed dramatically since then, after they decided to step down from their royal duties as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and moved from the UK to the US. Over the last five years, tension has grown significantly between the couple and the royal family, but it looks like the Suits alum was feeling nostalgic for that lifestyle when, for their wedding anniversary on May 19th, they posted two large 'photo dumps' with unseen photos from their formal royal wedding and reception.

In the photos, she and Harry can be seen showing off some major PDA, embracing each other both in St. George's Chapel and on the dance floor. Though she notably didn't share any pictures with other members of the royal family, like King Charles or Prince William, she did share a snap of her and her mom, as well as Elton John performing at the reception. Social Media Users Call Meghan's Posts 'Desperate' Amid Reports She & Harry Are 'At Odds'

Though the large collections of pictures were adored by loyal fans of the parents-of-two, it didn't necessarily get the response a 'normal' anniversary post would get.

Despite it not being a milestone anniversary for Harry and Meghan, it was one of the first times she's decided to share such intimate, never-before-seen pictures from the day all at once. It was also interesting timing, considering just recently, reports have emerged that she and her husband are "at odds," as he gradually works towards reconciling with the royal family and potentially getting back to work, and she locks in on her American lifestyle brand.

On platforms like Reddit, users commented on the "desperation" they felt behind the post, and how they felt it was the 44-year-old's attempt to patch up her and her husband's controversial image.

"It's like they haven't really moved on, despite having actually left," wrote a user.

"She kept all the internal pics private and now, in a moment of desperation, unloads them all to get attention," responded another. "But well after most people care...She's so bad at being calculating."

One user called the posts "vapid and sad," with another adding, "This is so beyond pathetic."

"She also posted SO MANY pictures," they continued. "Feels desperate."
