All Mariah Carey wants is… groceries? Apparently so. The legendary singer was spotted making a stylish appearance at the newly opened West Hollywood location of Erewhon—and doing it in true Mariah fashion.
The viral, high-end grocery chain has quickly become a hotspot for celebrities, and Carey didn’t miss the moment. While filming on-site, she strolled through the store in a head-turning look that was equal parts glam and edgy.
The mom of two wore a cropped leather jacket with zipper detailing, layered over a black top and paired with a black mini skirt. She completed the outfit with leather boots, sheer tights, and her signature blonde waves, finishing it all off with full glam makeup.

Mariah Carey Spotted Shopping At Erewhon
An employee told KTLA 5 Morning News that they were “shocked and confused” as the Grammy winner wandered the aisles for about five minutes before leaving without buying anything.
Photos shared by DeuxMoi showed Carey strolling past displays of luxury bottled water and pricey snack items—her cart notably empty.
Fans quickly flooded social media with reactions to her full-glam look and seemingly casual stroll. “I thought she said she doesn’t go to the grocery store,” one user wrote. Another joked, “Empty basket [laughing emoji].”
Others leaned into her diva persona, with comments like, “Why is she walking? She should be carried through the store,” and “Shook she’s not in the cart getting pushed around.” One person added, “She looks so confused… like she’s never been in a grocery store.”
Some fans were convinced it was all part of a shoot. “Of course she was filming something—you think you’d ever see Mariah in a grocery store?” one wrote, while another added, “Omg I love her. Makes sense she’s filming—I thought she was actually shopping.”

Still, the playful commentary kept coming: “I’m shocked she touched the grocery cart,” “She can’t believe she touched a cart,” and “I wonder if she even knows how a grocery store works?”
Others kept things lighthearted and supportive, writing, “Mimi is so whimsical,” “Yes diva, get your grocery store run in with those boots,” and “Always in heels.”
In a January interview with Billboard, the “We Belong Together” singer opened up about growing up without wealth and the importance of giving back.
“I’ve always tried to incorporate messages into my songs like “Make It Happen” and “Hero,”” Carey shared. “It’s just an interesting thing to be able to give back in that way. I didn’t grow up with money, and if you grew up like me, it means even more to be able to give back.”
“All of us should do what we can to give back something,” Carey added. “And it’s also important to do more than that. I get caught up with my schedule sometimes, so it’s not as much as it should be. But it’s still an important part of my life.”
