The Amazon mogul kept things sleek yet casual in a gray suede coat paired with a blue shirt and matching blue pants, along with black shoes. However, it wasn’t just their outfits that sparked conversation online. Bezos’ noticeably scruffy beard also became a major talking point among fans.
Social media users joked that the pair looked so different that they wondered if they had gotten “new faces.”

They have been announced as lead sponsors for the 2026 Met Gala and its accompanying Costume Institute exhibition, “Costume Art.” In addition to financially backing the exhibition and gala, they will also serve as honorary chairs for the prestigious fashion fundraiser.
As lead sponsors, Bezos and Sánchez are providing significant funding for the upcoming exhibition and are expected to hold a highly visible role at the event—likely greeting guests at the top of the Met’s iconic steps as they arrive.
This year’s star-studded gala will be co-chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams. Bezos and his wife made their Met Gala debut together in May 2024, wearing custom Oscar de la Renta designs. However, the couple skipped the 2025 event due to their wedding celebrations.
Bezos had previously attended the Met Gala in 2012 with his then-wife, MacKenzie Scott.
