Lady Gaga Cancels Her Final 'Mayhem Ball' Show In Montreal

The Grammy-winning singer and actress has been super busy over the last year, promoting and performing in shows after releasing her latest album, Mayhem. With the new music came a new extravagant, expensive, worldwide tour, the Mayhem Ball tour, which had her performing in various states and countries around award show season.

Even though her schedule has been quite consistent, the singer recently shocked her fans, especially her Canadian fans, when she revealed that she would have to cancel another show in Montreal due to illness.

"I'm so sorry to share that I'm unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show," she wrote in a statement for her Instagram story. "I've been fighting a respiratory infection for the past few days and doing everything I can to rest and recover, but it's gotten worse. My doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today, and to be honest, I don't think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve."

Fans React To Lady Gaga's Announcement On Social Media

The announcement was very disappointing for many fans who purchased tickets to see the singer, as although she had already performed in two Montreal Mayhem Ball concerts, the one she canceled was her third and final, leaving those who anticipated a special closing performance with nothing.

The A Star Is Born actress ended up acknowledging this in her statement, as well as how much the fans in that region mean to her.

"I know how deeply disappointing this is, and I truly could not feel worse about letting you down," she added. "I'm so sorry to everyone who made plans to be there and support me. Being in Montreal and performing for you on Thursday and Friday was magical and deeply meaningful. To everyone who was coming tonight, I'm absolutely heartbroken and so sorry."

Following the Montreal leg of the tour, there will only be three shows left for the entire production, as she'll head off to Saint Paul, Minn., and close out at Madison Square Garden in Mid-April. On social media, fans who expected to see the canceled show expressed their disappointment on social media platforms like Instagram, with some even asking for a bigger "refund."

"This is the only show I wanted to see," wrote a fan on Instagram. "Why did I choose the last day? Disappointed is not a strong enough word to describe how it feels."

"I was already there at the venue when I was told that tonight's show got canceled," revealed another. "So devastated and still processing."

"It sucks," commented a fan. "We were so hyped for it."

Though many of her 'little monsters' are still wishing her a "quick recovery" and sending well wishes, the negative reaction to her missing this one show proves just how important they are to her supporters, and we'll be curious to see if she ends up rescheduling a new show date in the future.
